Douglas Tostenson, photographer

“From Where I See It” was born out of local artist Doug Tostenson’s desire to offer Seattleites and visitors alike a romantic, whimsical view of the city.

Originally a black and white photographer, Tostenson continues to explore different methods and approaches to each body of work he creates.

Whether his subject is a cityscape or coastal landscape, whether printed in a traditional darkroom, digitally composed, or a combination of both, Tostenson’s images always bear his signature high-contrast, painterly, otherworldly style.
